Dermabrasion
Dermabrasion for a youthful appearance
Dermabrasion uses a rapidly rotating brush to remove the topmost layer of skin. A new layer of skin grows in its place that is smoother and more youthful in appearance. Dermabrasion is used to treat a variety of skin conditions, including scars and wrinkles and fine lines. The initial side effects are pain and redness, similar to a moderate to severe sunburn. The skin heals after about 10 days. You may be provided medications to reduce any discomfort. Dermabrasion may be used with other procedures as part of a skin rejuvenation program.
