An Erbium Microlaser Peel can dramatically improve the tone and texture of your skin, giving you a more youthful look quickly and effectively. The most popular area of treatment is the face and neck, although any area of the body can be treated, including the chest, hands, back, shoulders and legs.
Overview
Erbium Microlaser Peel provides precision and individualization in treating the skin. The system allows for treatment depths as minimal as 10 microns (similar to a chemical peel) up to 120 microns (for a full resurfacing effect), with the computer-guided system ensuring that more sensitive areas are not overtreated. You may elect to have a full resurfacing, or choose partial resurfacing. Specific depths of treatment can be selected, so that the treated area is "feathered" into untreated areas and you will not see where the treatment ends.
An Erbium Microlaser Peel can improve:
- • Pigmentation Problems such as Melasma and Brown Spots
- • Acne Scarring
- • Fine Lines and Wrinkles
- • Sun Damage
Treatment
A topical anesthetic is applied approximately 10 minutes before the procedure. Treatment lasts from 10-20 minutes, during which time you will feel heat in the area being treated. Immediately following the procedure, you will feel tenderness comparable to a sunburn. You can expect 7-10 days of downtime.
In the days to follow, you will experience itchiness and sloughing, after which the redness will fade. The healing process varies from patient to patient, but usually takes 5-15 days.
The number of treatments depends on the condition of your skin and the desired results. One procedure may be sufficient, or you may require 3 or 4 treatments.
Results
You will notice significant changes in your skins texture and tightness immediately, and your skin will continue to improve each day. Once the healing process is complete, you will have smoother skin and an even skin tone.
